Getting started
Record or import a talking video and ReCut cuts the dead air, filler words, retakes and tangents in one tap. Then polish it in the editor and export it to Photos.
Tap + to open the camera and record your takes, or tap Add video to pick videos from Photos or Files. Arrange your clips, then tap Combine & edit.
A project can be up to 15 minutes long, with up to 100 clips. If one video is longer, ReCut lets you use its first 15 minutes or pick a range.
Yes. Tap the timer button on the camera to choose Off, 3 seconds or 10 seconds. ReCut remembers your choice.
AI cuts
Silences and dead air, filler words, bad takes and repeats, and tangents. You can turn each one off and choose Tight or Natural pacing in Settings → AI cuts.
Yes. AI cuts can be wrong, so every AI cut can be restored: tap a cut on the timeline to see why it was made, then tap Restore. Undo and redo work for every edit.
Usually under a minute. Long videos and busy times can take longer. You can leave the screen while ReCut works. Turn on notifications to hear when your cut is ready.
ReCut works best with English speech. With other languages some cuts may be missed.
Try again from the project, or use Quick cut, which removes the silences on this iPhone. A cut that fails on our side isn't counted against your edits.
Editing & export
Split and delete clips, add captions and text, place B-roll photos or videos over your video, animate with keyframes, change the canvas, and adjust the audio. Adding an audio track needs Pro or Ultimate.
Tap Export in the editor to save the finished video to your Photos library.
Projects live only on this iPhone. Deleting ReCut deletes them. Export the videos you want to keep.
With Pro or Ultimate you can pick up to 10 videos at once. Each one becomes its own project, and ReCut lets you know when they're all done.
Plans & billing
One edit is used each time ReCut's AI cuts a video. If processing fails on our side, or you cancel before transcription starts, the edit isn't counted. Profile shows what you have left.
Starter includes 100 edits a month. Pro includes 300, plus audio tracks and batch editing. Ultimate is unlimited within fair use. The paywall shows each plan's price, and a free trial when your Apple Account can get one.
Go to Profile → Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account you subscribed with.
Go to Profile → Manage subscription. Renews automatically until canceled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends in your App Store subscription settings. Charged to your Apple Account.
Apple decides refunds for App Store purchases. ReCut can't issue refunds and doesn't promise one. To request one, use Apple's Report a Problem page (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Privacy & account
Only the audio track of your video leaves your iPhone. Video frames, photos, thumbnails and your project library never do.
Yes, in Settings → AI processing. Manual editing keeps working.
Go to Settings → Delete account. This deletes your account and all its data on our servers, then the projects on this iPhone. It can't be undone. Deleted data can remain in database backups for up to 7 days before it is gone. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the App Store.
